A downloadable module puzzle game for Windows

You can only move when you have the designated modules attached to slots. These modules can also be inserted into nearby machines for an "out of control" puzzle-solving experience.

Originally, this was a submission for the GMTK 2020 Game Jam, the theme being "Out of Control". The original version is still available, alongside a more polished version with additional gameplay elements (MMM+).

Features an open-ended, unknown story of a derelict drone on a mission, wandering through 11 abandoned areas (16 in MMM+, some of which have been adjusted).

Play by using the mouse and 'WASD'.

Disclaimer: The original version is prone to crashes!  Furthermore, it softlocks if you place the life-module into the wrong machine. You have to go out of your way to do this, though -- just don't put it into machines that are supposed to move! MMM+ fixes these issues.

Install instructions

I have provided a .exe-file and a .zip-file.

The .exe-file opens the game directly.

If you choose the .zip-file, the game needs to be unpacked from the .zip-file before you can open it through the designated .exe-file within.

Finally, a .exe-file has been added for the newest version of the game (MMM+).

Are you supposed to be able to take modules back off the cubes as they move away? It makes things very easy, and all the puzzles are still possible without it..

Damn it! It's an exploit; you aren't supposed to be able to do this. Was hoping noone would figure this out, but alas...!

Haha, I figured as much. Fantastic game regardless. I had a lot of fun with this one.

Great game. But...
DO NOT DROP LIFE MODULE ON INACTIVE MACHINE!*
That causes game to halt.
Interesting mechanics and art.

*Hope that issue will be fixed later.
